Wall-Street.com Quiz -- Cartoons - Global Economy

Can You Identify These Pictures?

"Who", "What" and "When" are just as important as "Where".

Here is another intriging group of pictures with very little information as to their background. As mentioned in other quizzes, the only definite information we have comes from Art Today, the source of the art. If you are an historical guru who can flesh out these stories, I will publish your explanation here. Please send an e-mail message to pj@wall-street.com.

The majority of these cartoons come either from US periodicals or from the English publication "Punch" during the time between the mid 1800's through the 1920's. For those cartoons with Uncle Sam portrayed either as sympathetic or a villain, it's pretty easy to guess which camp the cartoonist was in.

Unlike the other quizzes, we have grouped these pictures into common themes and given each picture a title. Click and hold the title to see if there are more details.
